Qualifying Educational Program definition

Qualifying Educational Program means a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires each student taking the program to spend not less than 10 hours per week on courses or work in that program.
Qualifying Educational Program has the meaning ascribed to such term in subsection 146.1(1) of the Tax Act which defines a qualifying educational program as a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires that each student taking the program spend not less than ten hours per week on courses or work in the program.
Qualifying Educational Program means a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires that each student taking the program spend not less than ten hours per week on courses or work in the program. The total amount of Educational Assistance Payments paid to or for a Beneficiary (from BMO (Advisor) RESPs) where the Beneficiary has not been enrolled, during the preceding 12 months, for at least 13 consecutive weeks in a “qualifying educational program” at a post-secondary educational institution cannot exceed $5,000. (unless a greater amount is approved in writing by the Minister designated for the purposes of the Canada Education Savings Act).

  • The Beneficiary shall be eligible to qualify for up to four Education Payments during the four-year period starting in the Year of Commencement as long as the Beneficiary attends an Eligible Institution in a Qualifying Educational Program.

More Definitions of Qualifying Educational Program

Qualifying Educational Program means a program of no less than three consecutive weeks’ duration that requires that each student taking the program spend no less than 10 hours per week on courses or work in the program and, in respect of a program at a Designated Educational Institution in Canada that is a program at a post-secondary school level;
Qualifying Educational Program means a program or course of study which meets one or more of the minimum competencies defined in the Commission-approved models entitled “The Sales Agent Course,” “The Associate Broker Course” or “The Designated Broker Course.” These courses shall be sponsored by a degree-granting institution, a proprietary school or a public school adult education program that follows the Commission-established procedure for approval.
