Qualified Physician definition

Qualified Physician means any medical doctor who is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Executive’s residence. Executive and the Company may in any instance, and in lieu of a determination by a Qualified Physician, agree between themselves that Executive is Permanently Disabled. The termsPermanent Disability” and “Permanently Disabled” as used herein may have meanings different from those used in any disability insurance policy or program maintained by Executive or the Company.
Qualified Physician means any physician who has not been excluded under the provisions of subpart I of this part. Except as otherwise provided by regulation, a qualified physician shall be deemed to be designated or ap- proved by OWCP.

Dispatch of a Physician: If the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and the authorized travel assistance company cannot adequately assess Your need for Medical Evacuation or Transportation, and a Physician is dispatched by the authorized travel assistance company to make such assessment, benefits will be paid for the travel expenses incurred and medical services provided by the dispatched Physician.


More Definitions of Qualified Physician

Qualified Physician means, in the case of any determination whether the Employee has sustained a Disability, a physician (i) holding an M.D. degree from a medical school located in the United States, (ii) specializing and board-certified in the treatment of the injury or illness that has or may have caused that Disability and (iii) having admission privileges to one or more hospitals located in the state in which the Company then has its principal executive offices or in the state in which the Employee then is domiciled.
