public analyst means the person appointed or recognised to be the Government Analyst, in relation to any environmental laboratory established or recogniscd in the State under the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (Central Act 29 of 1986).

public analyst means any person having the qualifications prescribed by rules made under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 (37 of 1954), and appointed as such by the Corporation with the approval of the State Government to perform the duites and to exercise the powers of a public analyst as prescribed by rules made under that Act;
