Employees will not be disadvantaged or discriminated against because they have given advice in accordance with their expertise or professional qualifications and in accordance with the APS Code of Conduct in the PS Act.
An employee who accepts an offer of voluntary redundancy and whose employment is terminated by the Commissioner under s 29 of the PS Act on the grounds that he/she is excess to requirements, is entitled to payment of a redundancy benefit of an amount equal of two weeks’ salary for each completed year of continuous service, plus a pro rata payment for completed months of service since the last completed year of service, subject to any minimum amount the employee is entitled to under the NES.
