Production facility definition

Production facility means a facility in California at which gasoline or CARBOB is produced. Upon request of a producer, the executive officer may designate, as part of the producer's production facility, a physically separate bulk storage facility which (A) is owned or leased by the producer, and (B) is operated by or at the direction of the producer, and (C) is not used to store or distribute gasoline or CARBOB that is not supplied from the production facility.
Production facility means, with respect to any liquid fuel (other than LNG), a facility at which the fuel is produced. "Production facility" means, with respect to natural gas (CNG, LNG or biogas), a facility at which fuel is converted, compressed, liquefied, refined, treated, or otherwise processed into CNG, LNG, biogas, or biogas-natural gas blend that is ready for transportation use in a vehicle without further physical or chemical processing.
Production facility means piping or equipment used in the production, extraction, recovery, lifting, stabilization, separation, or treatment of petroleum or associated storage or measurement. (To be a production facility under this definition, piping or equipment must be used in the process of extracting petroleum from the ground and transporting it by pipeline.)
