Private Patients definition

Private Patients means all patients that are not NHS patients and includes patients who are covered by medical insurance and patients who are paying for their own treatment, whether by way of a Treatment Package or otherwise.
Private Patients means an eligible person as defined in section 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Commonwealth) who elects to be treated on Health Service premises as an in patient or day patient by a medical Specialist of his or her choice and is responsible for paying for the provision of medical services, but does not include a Public Patient or a Compensable Patient;
Private Patients means an eligible person as defined in section 3(l) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Commonwealth).
