Prekindergarten definition

Prekindergarten means an educational and child development program that is designed to prepare children who are at least three (3) years of age for an academic kindergarten program.
Prekindergarten means those programs which provide comprehensive health, education, and social services in order to maximize the potential of three- and four-year-old children. The "State Prekindergarten Programs" means the statewide administrative activities carried out within the Department of Education to allocate, award, and monitor state funds appropriated to create or assist local prekindergarten programs.
