Predecessor Certificate definition

Predecessor Certificate means a Predecessor Corporate Units Certificate or a Predecessor Treasury Units Certificate.

Predecessor Certificate. With respect to any particular Certificate, every previous Certificate evidencing all or a portion of the same interest as that evidenced by such particular Certificate; and, for the purpose of this definition, any Certificate authenticated and delivered under Section 5.5 in lieu of a lost, destroyed or stolen Certificate shall be deemed to evidence the same interest as the lost, destroyed or stolen Certificate.

Predecessor Certificate. As defined in Section 5.05.

Examples of Predecessor Certificate in a sentence

• Every new Certificate of any Series or Class issued pursuant to this Section 5.05 shall constitute complete and indefeasible evidence of ownership in the Trust related to such Series, whether or not the Predecessor Certificate shall be at any time enforceable by anyone, and shall be entitled to all the benefits of this Trust Agreement equally and proportionately with any and all other Certificates of that Series or Class duly issued hereunder.

• Any Certificate executed, authenticated and delivered under this Section 5.05 in lieu of a lost, destroyed or stolen Certificate (a "Predecessor Certificate") shall be deemed to evidence the same interest as the Predecessor Certificate.

• Any Certificate executed, authenticated and delivered under this Section 5.05 in lieu of a lost, destroyed or stolen Certificate (a “Predecessor Certificate”) shall be deemed to evidence the same interest as the Predecessor Certificate.

More Definitions of Predecessor Certificate

Predecessor Certificate means a Predecessor Income PRIDES Certificate or a Predecessor Growth PRIDES Certificate. "Predecessor Growth PRIDES Certificate" of any particular Growth PRIDES Certificate means every previous Growth PRIDES Certificate evidencing all or a portion of the rights and obligations of the Company and the Holder under the Growth PRIDES evidenced thereby; and, for the purposes of this definition, any Growth PRIDES Certificate authenticated and delivered under Section 3.10 in exchange for or in lieu of a mutilated, destroyed, lost or stolen Growth PRIDES Certificate shall be deemed to evidence the same rights and obligations of the Company and the Holder as the mutilated, destroyed, lost or stolen Growth PRIDES Certificate.

Predecessor Certificate means, with respect to any Certificate, every previous Certificate evidencing all or a portion of the same Initial Certificate Balance as that evidenced by such Certificate. For the purpose of this definition, any Certificate executed, authenticated and delivered under Section 2.07 of the Standard Terms in lieu of a lost, destroyed or stolen Certificate will be deemed to evidence the same interest in the assets held by the Administrator.

Predecessor Certificate means a Predecessor Income PRIDES Certificate or a Predecessor Growth PRIDES Certificate.

Predecessor Certificate means a Predecessor Normal Common Equity Unit Certificate or a Predecessor Stripped Common Equity Unit Certificate.

Predecessor Certificate means a Predecessor PEPS Units Certificate or a Predecessor Treasury PEPS Units Certificate.
