Preconstruction Phase definition

Preconstruction Phase means the period that begins on the date of this CM/GC Contract and ends upon commencement of the Construction Phase; provided that if Owner and the CM/GC agree, the Construction Phase may commence before the Preconstruction Phase is completed, in which case both phases shall proceed concurrently, subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.

Preconstruction Phase means the period following the award of a contract to a design-build entity for a progressive design-build project in which the design-build entity completes design activities and any preconstruction activities necessary to produce a guaranteed maximum price.
