Perpetual License definition

Perpetual License means a license which is everlasting and valid if the software is being used in accordance with the license-agreement requirements.
Perpetual License or “Extended Term License” means a license of the Software that extends indefinitely. Perpetual Licenses do not include Maintenance Services.
Perpetual License means a type of license for a Software Product which allows the User to use the Software Product in perpetuity so long as the User does not otherwise violate the terms of the EULA. For reference, a Perpetual License on a Quote is denoted by its absence of either the terms “Subscription,” “SaaS,” or “Metered” and/or the absence of the letters ”SU” or “MTR” at the end of the Software Product number or the letters “HCL” at the beginning of the Software Product number.

Examples of Perpetual License in a sentence

  • If Your License Term is terminated due to breach by Magnet Forensics under (a) above, where Magnet Forensics is the relevant party under (b) above, or by Magnet Forensics in accordance with (c) above, Magnet Forensics shall refund You: (i) a prorated amount of any unused prepaid License fees if You purchased a Term License; or (ii) a prorated amount of any unused prepaid Support Services fees if You purchased a Perpetual License.

  • If Magnet Forensics is unable to correct the Software to conform with the warranty stated herein within thirty (30) days, then upon Your request, Magnet Forensics shall, as your sole and exclusive remedy, refund You: (a) a prorated amount of any unused prepaid license fees if You purchased a Term License; or (b) a prorated amount of any unused prepaid Support Services fees if You purchased a Perpetual License.


More Definitions of Perpetual License

Perpetual License means a license to use CA Software for an indefinite period subject to compliance with the Agreement.
Perpetual License means a license for which you pay a one-time Fee to obtain the right to use and deploy the Software, whether on your premises or at your preferred hosting provider.

Unless a license of Software is specified as a Subscription, a Rental License or another type of Limited Term License in this Addendum, the Product Specific Terms, or a separate contract between the parties and the Software is embedded in the Product (as identified in the applicable Sales Agreement) as delivered, then the license of Software is deemed to be a Perpetual License. Perpetual Licenses do not include Maintenance Services or professional services which must be purchased separately.
