Perfect attendance definition
Perfect attendance means that the employee has not utilized any of the following types of leave:
1. sick leave,
2. emergency leave (provided that use of bereavement leave, although taken on an emergency leave basis, shall not be a disqualification under this section),
3. line of duty leave (provided that use of LOD leave for a portion of a shift, as to those employees that return to work on of the following shift, shall not be a disqualification under this section),
4. leave without pay, and
5. suspensions.
Perfect attendance means that a student attended all day every day of the school year including doctor’s appointments, funerals, and vacations. To have perfect attendance second semester, the student must have perfect attendance first semester as well. Missing 25 minutes of any class will be considered an ab- sence. Perfect attendance. Students who have perfect attendance for the entire year are eligible for an award at the end of year awards assembly. Students with a perfect attendance record for the entire year will be eligible to receive a 50% discount on the yearbook at the end of the school year. To qualify:

Grievances over the failure to pay a perfect attendance bonus shall be filed at Step 2 of the grievance procedure within ten (10) working days after an employee knew or should have known with the exercise of due diligence that they have not been awarded a bonus and shall be subject to Paragraph F of Article XXVI. The decision of the Agency at Step 2 of the grievance procedure shall be final and binding.

Perfect attendance means that a student is at school all day, every day for the entire school year. This means that a student has no tardies, early sign-outs, or full or partial absences (excused or otherwise) on their record. We encourage all of our students to attend school whenever they are well enough to do so.
