In the event of a conflict between the Pension Rules and/or this Agreement with the Tax Act, then the Tax Act will prevail to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict.
A regular employee who is age 55 years or older and is entitled to receive a pension under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules, as of the effective date of layoff, and who has opted for and is entitled to severance pay pursuant to this article shall, upon application, be entitled to purchase all or part of any eligible service for which no contributions were made, as permitted by the Public Service Pension Rules.
If any provision of the Pension Rules or Tax Act which is cited in this Contract is renumbered due to an amendment in the law, then that reference is to be considered to be to the provision as renumbered.
Unless otherwise provided, any term used in this Contract which is defined in the Pension Rules will have the meaning given in the Pension Rules.
If any provision of the Pension Rules or Tax Act referred to in this Agreement is renumbered due to a change in law, then that reference is to be considered to be to the provision as renumbered.
