Payment Application means computer software not written by SHIFT4 and that requests payment operations, including but not limited to, authorization and settlement of financial instruments (e.g., credit card authorizations) utilizing the SHIFT4 API. Payment Applications include, but are not limited to, Merchant’s PMS and POS. A Payment Application may include, but may not be in its entirety, a Third-Party Interface, or Third-Party Software.
