Pay TV definition

Pay TV means premium programming services selected by and sold to subscribers of the System for monthly fees in addition to the fee for Basic Services.
Pay TV means a la carte tiers or premium programming services selected by and sold to subscribers on a per channel or per program basis.
Pay TV means premium programming services selected by and sold to subscribers on an a la carte basis for monthly fees in addition to the fee for Basic Services.

More Definitions of Pay TV

Pay TV means all forms of Terrestrial Pay TV, Cable Pay TV, and Satellite Pay TV exploitation of a Motion Picture Copy.
Pay TV means the right to Distribute any programs or other content (available as part of the program service and/or on an “on demand” basis) by any and all means, methods, and/or manners now known or hereafter devised (including broadcast, cable, wire, satellite, wireless, Internet, IPTV, virtual private networks, closed systems, etc.) for viewing on any and all audiovisual devices (including televisions, computers, handheld (including mobile) devices, etc.), whether now known or hereafter devised, and which program service is available for purchase alone or in a package with other program services for which a consumer is required to pay a fee to receive such service(s) or a package of services on a periodic basis, and shall include basic subscription television, premium subscription television, previews, etc.
Pay TV means the exploitation of programmes (including movies, series, shorts and other interstitial content) in a programming service that is transmitted to end users by any means of transmission or delivery, whether now existing or hereafter created, and that:
Pay TV means transmission of a Motion Picture Copy by means of an encoded signal for reception on television receivers where a charge is made: (i) to viewers in private living places for use of a decoding device to view a channel that broadcasts the Motion Picture along with other Picturing; or (ii) to the operator of a hotel or similar temporary living place located distant from where the broadcast signal originated for use of a decoding device to receive a channel that broadcasts the Motion Picture and other Picturing and retransmit it throughout the temporary living place for viewing in private rooms.
Pay TV means the linear, regularly-scheduled encrypted transmission from a distance of audiovisual content in its entirety and without any interruptions to a viewing device for personal, residential viewing only by subscribers, as part of a premium tier subscription service which is not primarily advertiser-supported, that can only be intelligibly received by such subscribers upon payment of a periodic (not more frequently than biweekly) subscription fee for such service.
