Parking meter space means any space within a parking meter zone which is duly designed for the parking of a single vehicle by lines painted or otherwise durably marked on the curb or on the surface of the street, which is either adjacent to a parking meter or which is in an area clearly marked by signs indicating the space is in a parking meter zone and indicating that payment may be made by the use of parking meter technology.
