Organics definition

Organics means meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, bones, bread, dough, pasta, grains, eggs, dairy products, vegetables, fruit, coffee grounds filters, tea, food-soiled paper, yard trimmings but does not include diapers, human or animal feces, landscape waste and animal carcasses or other items determined by the General Manager, Engineering from time to time.
Organics is defined as means material originated from living organisms and their metabolic waste products. This includes, , including but is not limited to, food, “agricultural material” as defined in section 17852(a)(5) of this subdivision, “agricultural by‐products material” as defined in section 17852(a)(4.5) of this subdivision, green waste material, landscape and pruning waste, nonhazardous lumber and dimensional wood, manure, compostable paper, digestate, biosolids, and biogenic sludges; and any product manufactured or refined therefrom from these materials, including compost, and wood chips, biofuels, and biogas.
Organics means yard waste, food waste and soiled paper products determined by the division director to be acceptable for composting.

Examples of Organics in a sentence

  • Self-Haul.‌ 481 Self-Haul means the Transport of Solid Waste, including Garbage, Recyclables, C&D, Green 482 Waste and Organics from an SFD or Commercial Premises, where the Solid Waste being generated 483 is taken directly to an authorized landfill, transfer station or processing facility.

  • Unless otherwise approved by the Company due to unique service needs, Commercial Customers shall be required to subscribe to Garbage service in order to receive Recycling, Green Waste, or Organics services.
