Oppose definition

Oppose means to appear before, discuss with, or contact, either orally or in writing, any local government or local government official and argue against a rezoning action.
Oppose or “Opposing” means: (i) to take any action or make any statement (including, but not limited to, submitting written comments or correspondence, or providing oral testimony) in any administrative or judicial forum or proceeding that (a) constitutes a challenge to, or a statement against an action, approval or determination, (b) seeks to prevent or delay any approval, or (c) is inconsistent with or contradicts statements within the Joint Statement; or (ii) to form, fund, counsel, or provide assistance to another entity or individual (including taking actions or making statements directed to the press or the public) for the purpose of challenging, administratively or judicially, such action, determination, or approval.
Oppose or “Opposing” means oppose, contest, challenge, object to, and/or otherwise interfere with.

Oppose means to formally disapprove of, or be against, a proposal or motion.
Oppose or “Opposing” means (a) opposing, threatening or taking action to oppose, challenging, or seeking to hinder, whether by litigation, public opposition at any proceeding before a government agency, public testimony, comments, or petition to government authorities, a Previously Issued Approval or Future Implementation Approval; (b) providing funding for others to file or maintain litigation opposing, challenging, or seeking to hinder a Previously Issued Approval or Future Implementation Approval; (c) participating in or funding any regional or local plan, policy, regulation, or ordinance, or agency rulemaking that disproportionately causes a negative economic effect or obstacle to development of the Project or other projects or activities on Tejon Ranch projects; or (d) taking any other action to impede the approval, financing, construction or completion of the Project.
