Operating definition

Operating or "Operation" means to provide (or the provision of) all the operation, engineering, purchasing, repair, supervision, training, inspection, testing, protection, use, management, improvement, replacement, refurbishment, retirement, and maintenance activities associated with operating the Generating Facility in accordance with Prudent Electrical Practices.
Operating means, with regard to a unit under sections 7(c)(4)(B) and 13(a) of this rule, having documented heat input for more than eight hundred seventy-six (876) hours in the six (6) months immediately preceding the submission of an application for an initial NOx budget permit under section 13(d) of this rule.
Operating has the meaning ascribed to such term in the preamble.
