Open Source Code definition

Open Source Code means any software code that is distributed as “free software” or “open source software” or is otherwise distributed publicly in source code form under terms that permit modification and redistribution of such software. Open Source Code includes software code that is licensed under the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Mozilla License, Common Public License, Apache License, BSD License, Artistic License, or Sun Community Source License.
Open Source Code has the meaning specified in Section 4.20(g).

More Definitions of Open Source Code

Open Source Code means any computer code (including, without limitation, any source code components, software applications, plug-ins, scripts or libraries) distributed or made available under any licence or terms:
Open Source Code means Source Code for computer software developed under the Contract which the Contract specifies as Source Code which the Agency will distribute to members of the public free of charge.
Open Source Code has the meaning set forth in Section 3.12(d).
Open Source Code means all software that is distributed as “free software,” “open source software,” or under a similar licensing distribution model, including the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Mozilla Public License, BSD license, the Artistic License, the Netscape Public License, the Sun Community Source License, the Sun Industry Standards License and the Apache License.
Open Source Code will mean free and open source software and includes those components of software which qualify as public domain software or are licensed as shareable freeware or open source software. “Shareable freeware” is copyrighted computer software which is made available to the general public for use free of charge, for an unlimited time, without restrictions on field of used or redistribution. “Open source software” includes software licensed or distributed under a license that, as a condition of use, modification, or distribution of the software: (i) requires that such software or other software distributed with or combined with the software be disclosed or distributed in source code form, licensed for the purpose of making derivative works, or redistributable at no charge, or (ii) otherwise imposes a limitation, restriction, or condition on the right of any Company to use, modify, or distribute all or part of a proprietary software program or to enforce an Intellectual Property right of any Company. Open Source Code includes without limitation software code that is licensed under any license that conforms to the Opens Software Initiative definition of opens source software in effect as of the date of this Agreement, and any versions of the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Mozilla License, Common Public License, Apache License, BSD License, Artistic License, or Sub Community Source License.
Open Source Code means any Computer Software that is distributed under “open source” or “free software” terms, including any Computer Software distributed under the GPL, LGPL, Mozilla License, Apache License, Common Public License, BSD license or similar terms and including any Computer Software distributed with any license term or condition that: (a) requires or could require, or conditions or could condition, the use or distribution of such Computer Software on the disclosure, licensing, or distribution of any source code for any portion of such Computer Software or any derivative work of such Computer Software; or (b) otherwise imposes or could impose any limitation, restriction, or condition on the right or ability of the licensee of such software to use or distribute such Computer Software or any derivative work of such Computer Software.
Open Source Code means any software code, or data library that is licensed as freeware, shareware, open source software or similar licensing models and that (i) requires the licensing or distribution of source code to licensees, at no additional charge, (ii) prohibits or limits the receipt of consideration in connection with sublicensing or distributing any software or (iii) requires (or could or does condition the use or distribution of such software on) the granting of a license under the patent rights of the Company or any of its affiliates. For the avoidance of doubt, Open Source Code includes software licensed or distributed under any of the following licenses or distribution model terms: GNU's General Public License (GPL) or Lesser/Library GPL (LGPL), the Artistic License (e.g., PERL), the Mozilla Public License, the BSD License, and the Apache License.
