Open Access Customer definition

Open Access Customer means a consumer permitted by the Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than a distribution licensee of his area of supply and the expression includes a generating company or a licensee who has availed of or intends to avail supply of power through open access.
Open Access Customer means a person permitted under these regulations to receive supply of electricity from another person other than the distribution licensee of his area of supply, or a generating company (including captive generating plant)or a licensee, who has availed of or intends to avail of open access.
Open Access Customer means, (a) a consumer permitted by the Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than distribution licensee of his area of supply, or (b) a generating company (including captive generating plant), or (c) a licensee who has availed or intends to avail of Open Access in accordance with the regulations of the Commission for grant of open access to the transmission lines and the distribution system of a licensee;

Examples of Open Access Customer in a sentence

  • A Long Term Open Access Customer means a person availing or intending to avail access to the Inter-State/Intra-State Transmission System for a period of 25 years or more.

  • A Long Term Open Access Customer means a person availing or intending to avail access to the Intra-State Transmission System for a period of 25 years or more.

  • A generator in the State may be supplying power outside the State, or, within the State, to an Open Access Customer or to the distribution licensee.

  • In case of any dispute regarding availability of transmission and / or wheeling capacity for open access between the applicant / Open Access Customer and the Licensee or between Licensees or between a Licensee and the STU and / or the SLDC, as the case may be, the aggrieved party may file a petition along with all necessary documents before the Commission for adjudication / settlement of the dispute within 60 days from cause of action.

  • The Short Term Open Access Customer shall pay the following charges for Open Access as notified by PSERC Regulations and as determined by PSERC in its Regulations/ tariff order from time to time.


More Definitions of Open Access Customer

Open Access Customer means a person using or intending to use the transmission system or the distribution system or both of the licensees in the state for transmission or wheeling of electricity in the State;

Open Access Customer means an applicant who has been granted open access under these regulations;
