Obligated Entity definition

Obligated Entity means a person or entity that sells electrical energy to end-use
Obligated Entity means the entity mandated under clause (e) of sub-section (1) of Section 86 of the Act to fulfil the renewable purchase obligation;
Obligated Entity means the entity mandated under clause (e) of subsection (1) of section 86 of the Act to fulfill the renewable purchase obligation and identified under UPERC (Promotion of Green Energy through Renewable Purchase Obligation) Regulations, 2010 and subsequent amendments thereof;

Examples of Obligated Entity in a sentence

  • For the purposes of this section, electricity sold by an Obligated Entity at retail to Rhode Island End-use Customers shall equal the sum of the Real Time Load Obligations for each Load Asset in the New England Markets that represents the electricity sold by an Obligated Entity at retail to Rhode Island End-use Customers.

  • The Obligated Entity shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Commission that such Generation Attributes have not otherwise been, nor will be, sold, retired, claimed or represented as part of electrical energy output or sale, or used to satisfy obligations in jurisdictions other than Rhode Island.

  • An Obligated Entity seeking to use NEPOOL GIS Certificates associated with production during calendar year 2006 for compliance in Compliance Year 2007, shall be subject to the following limitations.

  • No sanction or penalty shall relieve or diminish an Obligated Entity from liability for fulfilling any shortfall in its compliance obligation, provided, however, that no sanction shall be imposed if compliance is achieved through Alternative Compliance Payments.

  • Allow Renewable energy generated during calendar year 2006 to be banked by an Obligated Entity as early compliance, usable towards meeting an Obligated Entity’s Compliance Year 2007 requirement only.


More Definitions of Obligated Entity

Obligated Entity means an entity in the State of Haryana which is mandated to fulfill renewable purchase obligation under these Regulations and include the following:-
Obligated Entity means the licensed Supplier of Power, Distribution Licensee(s), captive user(s) and Open Access Consumer(s), identified under Procurement of Renewable Power Energy Regulations of the Commission and mandated under clause (e) of subsection (1) of section 86 of the Act to fulfil the renewable purchase obligations as determined by the Commission from time to time.
Obligated Entity means the distribution licensee or the captive consumer or the open access consumer in the State of Kerala, who is mandated to fulfill renewable purchase obligation under these Regulations;
Obligated Entity means the distribution licensee, consumer owning the captive power plants and open access consumer in the State of Tripura which is mandated to fulfill renewable purchase obligation under these Regulations;
Obligated Entity means the entity mandated under clause (e) of subsection (1) of section 86 of the Act to fulfill the renewable purchase obligation and identified under the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for determination of Tariff from Renewable Energy Sources, Renewable Purchase Obligation and Renewable Energy Certificate) Regulations, 2010 and subsequent amendments/re-enactments thereof;
Obligated Entity means the entity mandated under clause (e) of subsection (1) of section 86 of the Act to fulfill the renewable purchase obligation and identified under JSERC (Renewable Purchase Obligation and its Compliance) Regulations, 2010 and subsequent amendments thereof;
Obligated Entity means an entity required to fulfil a Renewable Purchase Obligation (‘RPO’) as specified by the Commission in Regulations governing such Obligation (‘the RPO Regulations’);
