Nursing assistants Nursing assistant means an employee, other than one registered pursuant to the provisions of the State or Territory Nurse Registration Board or one who is in training for the purpose of such registration, who is under the direct control and supervision of a Registered or Enrolled nurse and whose employment is solely to assist an RN or EN in the provision of nursing care to persons.
