Nurses definition

Nurses when used throughout this Agreement shall mean persons included in the above described bargaining unit.
Nurses wherever used in this Agreement shall mean any or all of the employees of the Bargaining Unit herein defined.
Nurses means all of the employees of the Hospital who are in the above described bargaining unit.

  • An employee holding a Temporary Class Certificate of Registration upon presenting proof of current General Class Certificate of Registration by the College of Nurses of Ontario shall be given the salary of the registered staff nurse as provided in this Article retroactive to the date of sitting the certification examination or the date of last hire, whichever is later.

  • It is understood that during such leave the employee shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association.

Nurses as used in this Agreement refers to all members of the bargaining unit described in 1.1 unless a provision specifically differentiates between “Regular Nurses” and “Relief Nurses.” The term “Clinical Nurses” as used in this Agreement refers to Clinical Nurses I, II, III and IV. The term “Regular Nurses” as used in this Agreement refers to full and part-time Clinical Nurses I, II, III, and IV. The term “Relief Nurses” as used in this Agreement refers to Relief Clinical Nurses I, II, III, and IV.

Nurses or “Nurse” or “RN” are used hereinafter in this Agreement, they shall be deemed to apply only to Registered Nurse employees of the Medical Center who are specifically included within the appropriate bargaining unit above noted. The sole purpose of the above is to identify the categories of employees in the appropriate bargaining unit, and this provision shall not be construed or interpreted so as to impose obligations or confer rights upon the parties beyond that of recognition of the unit.
