Mobile Transceiver Unit definition
Mobile Transceiver Unit or “MTU” means a device approved by the [Minister/Director] which is placed on a fishing vessel that transmits, either in conjunction with another device or devices or independently, information or data concerning the position, fishing and such other activities of the vessel as may be required;

Mobile Transceiver Unit means a device approved by the Coordinator which is placed on a fishing vessel and is designed to transmit/receive, whether independently or in conjunction with another device or devices, information or data concerning position, fishing and such other activities of the vessel as may be required;
Mobile Transceiver Unit. (MTU) means a vessel monitoring system device approved by the Authority, which is installed on board a vessel and is designed to automatically transmit, whether independently or in conjunction with another device or devices, information or data concerning position, fishing, catch and such other activities as may be required, and allows detection and identification of the vessel at all times;
Mobile Transceiver Unit or “MTU” means a device approved by the Director which is installed on board a fishing vessel through the use of General Packet Radio Services and/or satellite communication, which is designed to automatically transmit vessel position, speed and course and allows detection and unique identification of the vessel;
