Minimum Level definition

Minimum Level. (ML) of quantitation means the lowest level at which the entire analytical system gives a recognizable signal and acceptable calibration point for the analyte, as determined by the procedure set forth at 40 CFR 136. In most cases the ML is equivalent to the Required Reporting Value (RRV) unless otherwise specified in the permit. (ARM 17.30.702(22))
Minimum Level or “ML” means the concentration at which the entire analytical system must give a recognizable signal and acceptable calibration point. The ML is the concentration of the lowest calibration standard analyzed by a specific analytical procedure, assuming that all the method- specified sample weights, volumes, and processing steps have been followed.
Minimum Level. (ML) of quantitation means the lowest level at which the entire analytical system gives a recognizable signal and acceptable calibration point for the analyte. The ML is the concentration in a sample that is equivalent to the concentration of the lowest calibration standard analyzed by a specific analytical procedure, assuming that all method specific sample weights, volumes and processing step have been followed. The ML may be equivalent to the Required Reporting Value (RRV) unless other wise specified in the permit.

Examples of Minimum Level in a sentence

  • Analyses for these parameters must include check standards within ten percent of the specified Minimum Level or calibration points equal to or less than the specified Minimum Level.

  • Results of effluent analyses which indicate that a parameter was not present at a concentration greater than or equal to the Minimum Level specified for that analysis shall be considered equivalent to zero (0.0) for purposes of determining compliance with effluent limitations or conditions specified in this permit.

  • If more than one analytical test method is listed for a given parameter, the Discharger must select from the listed methods and corresponding Minimum Level: Table E-3.

  • Dischargers are to instruct laboratories to establish calibration standards so that the Minimum Level (ML) value (or its equivalent if there is differential treatment of samples relative to calibration standards) is the lowest calibration standard.

  • Minimum Level (ML)The concentration at which the entire analytical system must give a recognizable signal and acceptable calibration point.

More Definitions of Minimum Level

Minimum Level means the level of the water table or of the potentiometric surface of water in an aquifer or the level of surface water at which further withdrawals would be significantly harmful to the water resources of the area.
Minimum Level means the lowest concentration of a substance as determined by the Department that generally can be quantified within specified limits of interlaboratory precision and accuracy under routine laboratory operating conditions in the matrix of concern.
Minimum Level means the level at which the entire analytical system must give a recognizable signal and acceptable calibration point. It is equivalent to the concentration of the lowest calibration standards, assuming that all method-specified sample weights, volumes, and cleanup procedures have been employed.
Minimum Level means the lowest level at which the entire analytical system gives a recognizable signal and acceptable calibration point for the analyte. The ML represents the lowest concentration at which an analyte can be measured with a known level of confidence. The ML may also be called the quantitation or reporting level.
