microplastic definition
microplastic means a material consisting of solid polymer-c ontaining partic les, to which additives or other substanc es may have been added, and where ≥ 1% w/w of particles have (i) all dimensions 1nm ≤ x ≤ 5mm, or (ii), for fibres, a length of 3nm ≤ x ≤ 15mm and length to diameter ratio of >3. Polymers that occur in nature that have not been chemic ally modified (other than by hydrolysis) are excluded, as are polymers that are (bio)degradable.
microplastic means particles containing solid polymer, to which additives or other substances may have been added, and where ≥ 1% w/w of particles have:
microplastic means a material consisting of solid polymer-containing particles, to which additives or other substances may have been added, and where ≥ 1% w/w of particles have (i) all dimensions 1nm ≤ x ≤ 5mm, or (ii), for fibres, a length of 3nm ≤ x ≤ 15mm and length to diameter ratio of >3.
More Definitions of microplastic
microplastic means a particles containing solid polymer, to which additives or other substances may have been added, and where ≥ 1% w/w of particles have (i) all dimensions 1nm ≤ x ≤ 5 mm, or (ii) a length of 3nm ≤ x ≤ 15 mm and length to diameter ratio of > 3. Natural polymers that have not been chemically modified are excluded, as are polymers that are (bio)degradable or have a water solubility > 2 g/L.
microplastic means a plastic particle or filament of less than five

microplastic means a material consisting of solid polymer-containing particles, to which additives or other substances may have been added, and where ≥ 1%
microplastic means a material consisting of solid polymer-c ontaining partic les, to which additives or other substanc es may have been added, and
microplastic means particles containing solid6 polymer, to which additives or other substances may have been added, and where ≥ 1% w/w of particles have (i) all dimensions 100 nm ≤ x ≤ 5 mm, or (ii) a length of 300 nm ≤ x ≤ 15 mm and length to diameter ratio of >3. Natural polymers that have not been chemically modified are excluded, as are polymers that are (bio)degradable (according to the criteria set out in Appendix X of the proposal) or soluble (according the criteria set out in Appendix Y on the proposal).
