Medical Insurance definition

Medical Insurance refers to the existing District medical PPO and HMO programs.
Medical Insurance. As set forth above, the parties agree that shall provide health insurance for the minor child(ren) as long as it is available to them at a reasonable expense through their employer. The parent providing the health insurance coverage shall provide the other parent with a card or copy of the health insurance card setting forth the insurance company name, address and policy number and names of persons covered within thirty days. Unless otherwise provided herein, reimburse- ment for any deductible and uninsured expense made by either party shall be paid within thirty (30) days of written notification and documentation (including the statement from the provider and the Explanation of Benefits from the health insurance provider) of such expenses by one party to the other. Documenta- tion of expenditures should be promptly provided to the other parent.
Medical Insurance means insurance of humans against bodily injury, disablement or death by accident or accidental means, or the expense thereof, or against disablement or expense resulting from sickness or childbirth, or against expense incurred in prevention of sickness, in dental care or optometrical service, and every insurance appertaining thereto, including insurance against the risk of economic loss assumed under a less than fully insured employee health benefit plan. “Medical insurance” does not include workers’ compensation cov- erages.

Medical Insurance. For coverage effective January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, the County’s and the employee’s contributions towards medical, dental and life insurance will be as follows:
