Main Extension definition

Main Extension means an adjacent, parallel, or extended addition to the District's distribution system, consisting of a pipeline which is a nominal six (6) inches in diameter or greater, for the purpose of providing an adequate water supply. The District may require an increase in the length of a main extension beyond that required to serve a particular development in order to provide for the orderly development of the District's distribution system, improve water quality, and/or improve system reliability.
Main Extension means the Mains and appurtenances installed by the Utility to provide the sewer utility service requested by or on behalf of the Applicant or Prospective Customer, but does not include the Service Pipes.
Main Extension means a pipeline added to Regional’s existing main for the purpose of service to one or more Customers and which is to become the property of Regional.

Examples of Main Extension in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Agreement, the Utility shall have the absolute right at any time to construct and install other main extensions and appurtenant facilities connecting to the Main Extension.

  • The Developer shall provide periodic inspections of the Main Extension by a professional engineer, registered in the State of Indiana.

  • The Developer hereby agrees that during installation of the Main Extension, the Utility has the authority to inspect the installation at the Utility's convenience.

More Definitions of Main Extension

Main Extension means the Mains, hydrants and appurtenances installed by the Utility to provide the water utility service requested by or on behalf of the prospective Customer or Customers, but does not include the Customer’s Service Pipe.
Main Extension means an extension, including any fire hydrants if fire protection is provided by the waterworks company, from the nearest existing adequate main along a route determined in accordance with reasonable utility engineering practices to a point perpendicular to the most remote structure to be served fronting the main extension.

Main Extension means the extension or replacement of water distribution mains and necessary facilities beyond existing service facilities up to but not including the mains within a development. Main Extension used in this Agreement means a Gas Distribution Main to which a Participant will have access, which is already constructed or which will be constructed, which was or will be financed in whole or in part by Participant Advances from which a Service Line can be installed to serve the Participant’s Facilities. Terms which are capitalized in this Agreement are defined either in the Company’s tariff or in this Agreement. The Company and the Participant agree as follows:
Main Extension. Means an extension of the Utility mains and upgrading of existing mains, but does not include the installation of Service Lines or Meter Sets.
