Lower-tier subcontract, definition
Lower-tier subcontract, as used in this clause, means any contract, as defined in FAR Subpart 2.1, entered into by a lower-tier Subcontractor to furnish supplies or services for performance of the subcontract or a lower-tier subcontract. It includes, but is not limited to, purchase orders, and changes and modifications to purchase orders.
Lower-tier subcontract, as used in this clause, means a lower-tier subcontract or contractual action entered into by a Subcontractor or lower-tier Subcontractor for the purpose of obtaining supplies, materials, equipment, or services of any kind under a subcontract.
Lower-tier subcontract, means any contract entered into by a lower-tier subcontractor to furnish supplies or services for performance of a subcontract. “Lower-Tier Subcontractor” means any supplier, distributor, vendor, or firm that furnishes supplies or services to or for a Subcontractor or another Lower-Tier Subcontractor.

Lower-tier subcontract, means any agreement entered into by the Seller or Seller’s sub-tier supplier(s) in furtherance of the performance of this Purchase Order.
Lower-tier subcontract, means any contract entered into by SELLER with a subcontractor to furnish supplies or services for performance of this Contract including transfers between divisions, subsidiaries, or affiliates of a contractor or subcontractor. It includes, but is not limited to, purchase orders, and changes and modifications to purchase orders.
Lower-tier subcontract, means any subcontract entered into by a lower-tier Subcontractor to furnish supplies or services for performance of a prime contract or a subcontract.

It does not include the Subcontractor’s supplier agreements with vendors, such as long-term arrangements for materials or supplies that benefit multiple contracts and/or the costs of which are normally applied to a subcontractor’s general and administrative expenses or indirect costs.
