Lawn definition

Lawn means a cultivated area surrounding or adjacent to a building that is covered by grass, turf, or a ground cover plant such as clover, including areas such as boulevards, parks, school yards and cemeteries, but excluding golf courses, soil-based playing fields, and sand-based playing fields.
Lawn means an area planted with ornamental grass species, such as Kentucky bluegrass or perennial rye grass, which is maintained year-round with a vibrant green color through the use of fertilizers and irrigation, for the purpose of low-level recreational use, such as walking, picnicking, and casual sporting activities.
Lawn means an open space between woods or ground that is covered with grass and is generally kept mowed or required to be kept mowed.
