Must, as minimum, posses the qualifications of a Licensed Aircraft Technician (LAT), in Category 1, 19 or 38, with sufficient knowledge and ability to audit any work or work process as it relates to the maintenance of aircraft.
The LAT will exercise the privileges of their Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) including providing technical job direction and mentoring to ATs and other LATs. In addition must possess any additional authorization as required for in the applicable category.
Should a Category 19 Aircraft Technician obtain an AME, he shall forfeit the $90.00 premium and will be compensated at the applicable LAT rate of pay.
Effective April 1, 2015, the monthly premium will increase to One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for all LAT 5 employees.
Such providers include, but are not limited to, Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Physician Assistant Anesthetists (PAA), and Athletic Trainers (LAT) when performing services within their scope of practice as defined by the state of Georgia.
