Instant Messaging definition

Instant Messaging means real-time direct text-based chatting communication between two or more people using personal computers or other devices.
Instant Messaging or "IM" means the exchange of near real-time messages through a standalone application or embedded software.
Instant Messaging means a direct, dedicated, and private communication service, accessed with a computer or electronic communication device, that enables a user of the service to send and receive virtually instantaneous text transmissions or computer file attachments to other selected users of the service through the Internet or a computer communications network.

More Definitions of Instant Messaging

Instant Messaging means a type of online chat which offers real-time text transmission between two or more parties. "Instant Messaging and Presence Application Availability" means the availability of the Instant Messaging and Presence Components provided by Service.
