Injury definition

Injury means accidental physical bodily harm excluding illness or disease solely and directly caused by external, violent and visible and evident means which is verified and certified by a Medical Practitioner.
Injury or “Injuries” means bodily harm caused by an Accident which: 1) occurs while Your coverage is in effect under the Policy; and 2) requires examination and treatment by a Legally Qualified Physician. The Injury must be the direct cause of loss and must be independent of all other causes and must not be caused by, or result from, Sickness.
Injury means any bodily damage (with or without a visible wound) solely caused by an Accident independent of any other causes.

Examples of Injury in a sentence

  • All Accidental Injury (Trauma), Urgent Care, Emergency Healthcare Services, and Observation Services whether provided within or outside of our Service Area are subject to the Limitations listed in the Limitations Section and the Exclusions listed in the Exclusions Section.

  • Coverage shall include: Premises-Operations, Products/ Completed Operations, Contractual, Broad Form Property Damage, and Personal and Advertising Injury.

  • Dental injury caused by chewing, biting, or Malocclusion is not considered an Accidental Injury and will not be Covered.

  • Covered Benefits Accidental Injury (Trauma), Urgent Care, Emergency Healthcare Services, and Observation Services This benefit has one or more exclusions as specified in the Exclusions Section.

  • Outpatient services provided by Out-of-network (outside of the 5-county area) Providers/Practitioners are not Covered except as provided in How the Plan Works, Eligibility and Enrollment, and Accidental Injury (Trauma) / Urgent Care / Emergency Health Services / Observation Services Benefit Sections.

Injury means physical harm to an employee caused by accident or disease in the performance of duties by the employee.
Injury means accidental bodily harm sustained by a Covered Person that results directly and independently from all other causes from a Covered Accident.
