Incentive definition

Incentive means a term or condition whose purpose is to motivate the Contractor to provide supplies or services at lower costs, and in certain instances with improved delivery or technical performance, by relating the amount of profit or fee earned to the Contractor’s performance.
Incentive means a payment due to the Supplier, in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, for any delivery, performance or outcome, as the case may be, which is better than the standards specified in respect thereof;
Incentive means any consideration provided by the Company, including buy downs, markdowns, rebates, bill credits, payments to third parties, direct installation, giveaways, and education, which encourages the adoption of program measures.

Examples of Incentive in a sentence

  • A severance payment equal to one (1) times the sum of (x) the Executive’s then current base salary and (y) the Executive’s Target Incentive, payable monthly over a one (1)-year period.

  • Incentive and equity compensation granted under applicable plans will be subject to recoupment in accordance with the company’s existing clawback policy or any other customary clawback policy that the Company maintains or adopts.
