For those occupied areas without a centralized HVAC system that provides air filtration with a minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) of 13 or better, portable HEPA air filtration units with a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 250 or greater per 1000 square feet of floor area will be used.
In the alternative, Producer may conduct air filtration using portable HEPA filters in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
Portables and/or other rooms without HVAC or means of natural ventilation shall be equipped with low noise HEPA air filters with a large enough capacity and flow rate for the square footage of the room.
They are: • Open-flame burning or torching • Sanding, grinding, planing, needle gunning, or blasting with power tools and equipment not equipped with a shroud and HEPA vacuum attachment • Using a heat gun at temperatures greater than 1100°F • Clean up thoroughly.
All classrooms shall use any combination of mechanical ventilation, natural ventilation, and HEPA air purifiers, as the individual room characteristics dictate, to provide adequate air exchanges.
