Hedge definition

Hedge or “hedging” means a strategy used to offset or reduce the risk associated with an investment or a group of investments.
Hedge means any future derivative, swap, collar, put, call, cap, option or other contract that is intended to benefit from, relate to, or reduce or eliminate the risk of fluctuations in interest rates, basis risk or the price of commodities, including Hydrocarbons.
Hedge means an interest rate, currency or commodity exchange, collar, cap, swap, floor, adjustable strike cap, adjustable strike corridor or similar agreements entered into by any Credit Party in order to provide protection to, or minimize the impact upon, such Credit Party and/or its respective Subsidiaries of changes in interest rates, currency exchange rates or commodity prices.
