HCO definition

HCO means a healthcare organization, an entity (i) that is a healthcare, medical or scientific organization or company (irrespective of its legal or organizational form), such as hospitals, clinics, universities or other educational institutions or associations or (ii) through which one or several HCPs supply services;
HCO means the Band’s Hemp Control Officer, as established by this Plan. The term may include employees, agents, and designees of the HCO.‌

Examples of HCO in a sentence

  • The Medicare beneficiary can select a Part A provider from the Medicare Part A providers list, but has to select a HCO for Part B services for beneficiaries with Part B services or Part B equivalent services for beneficiaries without Part B of Medicare.

  • The ADMINISTRATION and CMS shall have the right to inspect, evaluate, copy and audit any pertinent books, documents, papers and records of the INSURER related to this contract and those of any HCO or participating provider in order to evaluate the services performed, determination of amounts payable, reconciliation of benefits, liabilities and compliance with this contract.

  • The insolvency, liquidation, bankruptcy or breach of contract of an HCO, or of a contracted participating provider does not release the INSURER from its obligation and guarantee to pay for all services rendered as authorized under this health insurance contract.
