hackney carriage stand means any area of the carriageway of a specified road intended for the waiting of hackney carriages as defined in the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, which is comprised within and indicated by a road marking complying with diagram 1028.2 in the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002
