Governmental Charges definition

Governmental Charges has the meaning set forth in Section 9.2.
Governmental Charges means, with respect to any Person, all levies, assessments, fees, claims or other charges imposed by any Governmental Authority upon such Person or any of its property or otherwise payable by such Person.
Governmental Charges means all applicable federal, state and local taxes (other than taxes based on income or net worth, but including, without limitation, sales, use, gross receipts or similar taxes), governmental charges, emission allowance costs, duties, tariffs, levies, licenses, fees, permits, assessments, adders or surcharges (including public purposes charges and low income xxxx payment assistance charges), imposed or authorized by a Governmental Authority, the LDC, or other similar entity, on or with respect to the Net Energy Billing Credits.

Examples of Governmental Charges in a sentence

  • PGE shall pay or cause to be paid all Governmental Charges on or with respect to the Product at and from the Delivery Point (other than those related to the sale of the Product, which are the responsibility of Seller).

  • In the event Seller is required by Law or regulation to remit or pay Governmental Charges which are PGE’s responsibility hereunder, PGE shall promptly reimburse Seller for such Governmental Charges.

  • If PGE is required by Law or regulation to remit or pay Governmental Charges which are Seller’s responsibility hereunder, PGE may invoice Seller for the amount of any such Governmental Charges or, in its sole discretion, deduct the amount of any such Governmental Charges from the sums due to Seller under ARTICLE 7 of this Agreement.

  • Nothing in this Agreement shall obligate or cause a Party to pay or be liable to pay any Governmental Charges for which it is exempt under the Law.


More Definitions of Governmental Charges

Governmental Charges means all taxes, duties, levies, assessments, reassessments and other charges together with all related penalties, interest and fines, payable in respect of periods ending on or before the Closing Date to any domestic or foreign government (federal, provincial, state, municipal or otherwise) or to any regulatory authority, agency, commission or board of any domestic or foreign government, or imposed by any court or any other law, regulation or rule-making entity having jurisdiction in the relevant circumstances;
