Global Access definition

Global Access means that (a) knowledge gained using the Foundation’s funding is promptly and broadly disseminated and (b) the products and technologies developed or supported with the Foundation’s funding will be made available and accessible at an affordable price to people most in need in Developing Countries.
Global Access means Participants dial into the audio conference call, regardless of their location, through a standard local or toll-free number.

Global Access has the meaning set forth in Section 1.
Global Access means that:
Global Access means the principles according to which diagnostic products shall be available, affordable and appropriate for use in the Territory, as further set forth in FIND’s Global Access Policy, available at www.finddx.org/policies,and as amended from time to time; “LMICs” or the “Territory” means those countries defined by the World Bank as having “low-income economies”, “lower middle-income economies” or “upper middle-income economies”, and as may be amended from time to time; “Private Health Sector” means any non-governmental institute in the Territory in the health sector, which operates on a for-profit basis and which may have access to preferential access conditions to a product such as set out under GlobalAccess, and as determined on a case-by-case basis by FIND; “Public Health Sector” means (i) any government in the Territory, including any government ministry of health, department or agency, or any local or regional governmental body, authority or entity, and (ii) any officially recognized, not-for-profit organization including private not-for-profit organizations, or funds, that pursue activities to relieve suffering, promote the interests of the poor, provide basic social services, or undertake community development, including, but not limited to, the World Health Organization (and other UN organizations), ICRC, UNICEF, Save the Children Fund,Médecins Sans Frontières, Unitaid, PEPFAR, the Global Fund, FIND or its authorized designee and other funding organizations;

Global Access means: (a) the knowledge and information gained from the Project will be promptly and broadly disseminated; and (b) the Funded Developments will be made available and accessible at an affordable price (i) to people most in need within developing countries, or (ii) in support of the U.S. educational system and public libraries, as applicable to the Project. For the purpose of achieving Global Access, IEB and IITA will seek prompt publication of any Funded Developments consisting of data and results in a peer-reviewed journal, treatise, or trade publication, as applicable. Such publication may be delayed for a reasonable period for the sole purpose of seeking patent protection, provided the patent application is drafted, filed, and managed in a manner that best furthers the Charitable Purpose. Any publications from the collaboration (collaborative research) shall show, through joint authorship where appropriate, the contributions of those involved in the research from both parties. Such publications need to be approved by the workpackage leader. Each party can publish these findings independently with due recognition of the contributions of the other party. If publishing independently, the party doing so, should inform the other party of this in writing two months before publication. The manuscript review process prior to publication shall follow the internal policies of both institutes. The fund providershall be appropriately acknowledged.
