GCV definition

GCV means the quantity of heat, expressed in Btu or Kcal, produced by the complete combustion at constant pressure of one (1) Standard Cubic Meter of Gas, with the air at the same temperature and pressure as the Gas and the products of combustion are cooled to original temperature and the water formed by combustion is condensed to liquid state.
GCV means the heat value determined in any calibrated combustion Bomb Calorimeter, in accordance with the procedure laid down in IS: 1350 (Part-II) 1970 dated April 1971 or any subsequent revision thereof and result reported on equilibrated basis at 40 Degree Celsius and 60% Relative Humidity.
