FHWA definition

FHWA means the Federal Highway Administration, which is one of the twelve administrations under the Office of the Secretary of Transportation at the U.S. Department of Transportation. FHWA provides stewardship over the construction, maintenance and preservation of the Nation’s highways and tunnels. FHWA is the Federal Awarding Agency for the Federal Award which is the subject of this Agreement.

  • A breach of any of the stipulations contained in these Required Contract Provisions may be sufficient grounds for withholding of progress payments, withholding of final payment, termination of the contract, suspension / debarment or any other action determined to be appropriate by the contracting agency and FHWA.
