Federal Securities definition

Federal Securities means: (a) any direct general obligations of the United States of America (including obligations issued or held in book entry form on the books of the Department of the Treasury of the United States of America), for which the full faith and credit of the United States of America are pledged; (b) obligations of any agency, department or instrumentality of the United States of America, the timely payment of principal and interest on which are directly or indirectly secured or guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America.
Federal Securities means, to the extent permitted by law for investment as contemplated in this Master Indenture and any Supplemental Indenture, (i) Government Obligations, (ii) any Tax Exempt Obligations which are fully secured as to principal and interest by an irrevocable pledge of Government Obligations, which Government Obligations are segregated in trust and pledged for the benefit of the holders of the Tax Exempt Obligations, (iii) certificates of ownership of the principal or interest of Government Obligations, which Government Obligations are held in trust and (iv) investment agreements at least 100% collateralized by obligations described in clauses (i), (ii) or (iii) above.
Federal Securities means any direct general non-callable obligations of the United States of America (including obligations issued or held in book entry form on the books of the Department of the Treasury of the United States of America), or obligations the timely payment of principal of and interest on which are directly guaranteed by the United States of America.

  • It is recognized that title to the Federal Securities and Cash Balance and other amounts held in the Escrow Account from time to time shall remain vested in the District, but subject always to the prior charge and lien thereof of this Escrow Agreement and the use thereof required to be made by the provisions of this Escrow Agreement.

  • The City shall pay the Escrow Agent full compensation for its duties under this Escrow Agreement, including out-of-pocket costs such as publication costs, prepayment or redemption expenses, legal fees and other costs and expenses relating hereto and, in addition, fees, costs and expenses relating to the purchase of any Federal Securities (as defined in the Prior Indenture) after the date hereof.
