Fair Wage definition

Fair Wage means wages, which shall include wages for weekly day of rest and other allowances, whether for time or piece work, after taking in to consideration prevailing market rates for similar employment in the neighborhood but shall not be less than the minimum rates of wages fixed under the Minimum wages Act.
Fair Wage means wage whether for time or piece work notified at the time of inviting tenders for the work and where such wages have not been notified the wages prescribed by the Project Manager/Engineer for the stations at which the work is done.
Fair Wage means minimum wages for time or piecework fixed or revised by the State Government under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
