We will pay on behalf of any Named Person the reasonable costs, charges or fees resulting from any Named Person lawfully opposing, challenging, resisting or defending against any Extradition Proceeding that the Insured Person first became aware of during the Policy Period.
A Wrongful Act of an Insured Person is not required for cover for an Extradition Proceeding.
Bail bond and civil bond premium means the reasonable and necessary premium (but not collateral) for any bond or other financial instrument to guarantee an Insured Person’s contingent obligation (in connection with any Claim, Asset and Liberty Proceeding or Extradition Proceeding) for a specified amount required by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Lumley shall pay any reasonable fees, costs, charges and expenses incurred with Lumley’s prior written consent by or on behalf of an Insured Person in challenging, resisting and defending an Extradition Proceeding, including any appeal, brought against such Insured Person.
Extradition Proceeding means any formal proceeding by which an Insured Person located in any province, territory, state or country is sought to be or is surrendered to any other province, territory, state or country for trial or otherwise to answer any criminal accusation.
