Extended Absence definition

Extended Absence means the Grantee’s inability to perform for six (6) continuous months, due to illness, injury or pregnancy-related complications, substantially all the essential duties of the Grantee’s occupation, as determined by the Committee.
Extended Absence means time away from a facility for a period of more than three hours in a day.

Examples of Extended Absence in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, unless otherwise determined by the Committee in its discretion, this Paragraph 6(b) will not apply if your termination of Employment by reason of Extended Absence or Retirement is characterized by the Firm as “involuntary” or by “mutual agreement” other than for Cause and if you execute such a general waiver and release of claims and an agreement to pay any associated tax liability, both as may be prescribed by the Firm or its designee.

  • If your Employment terminates by Extended Absence or Retirement, your Outstanding RSUs that are not Vested will become Vested.

  • Any termination of Employment by reason of Extended Absence or Retirement shall not affect any applicable Transfer Restrictions, and any Transfer Restrictions shall continue to apply until the Transferability Date as provided in Paragraph 3(b)(iv).

  • If your Employment terminates at a time when you meet the requirements for Extended Absence, Retirement, “downsizing” or Approved Termination, each as described below, then Paragraph 9(a) will not apply, and your Outstanding RSUs will be treated as described in this Paragraph 11.

  • Unless the Committee determines otherwise, if your Employment terminates for any reason or you otherwise are no longer actively employed with the Firm (other than by reason of Extended Absence or solely as a result of “downsizing” as provided in Paragraph 7(b)), the Transfer Restrictions will be removed as soon as practicable after the date your Employment so terminates.
