EMPs definition

EMPs mean the environmental management plans to be prepared by the Recipient pursuant to paragraph 4 of Section IB of Schedule 2 of this Agreement, satisfactory to the World Bank, and consisting of the set of mitigation, monitoring, and institutional measures to be taken to eliminate adverse environmental and social impacts, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, as well as actions needed to implement these measures, for the Project; and “EMP” refers to one such Environmental Management Plan.
EMPs means the plans to be prepared by the Recipient and the Project Implementing Entities in accordance with Section I.E.1(b) of Schedule 2 to this Agreement and the Environmental and Social Safeguard Instruments, defining details of measures to manage potential environmental risks and mitigate, reduce and/or offset adverse environmental impacts associated with the implementation of Project activities, together with adequate institutional, monitoring and reporting arrangements capable of ensuring proper implementation of, and regular feedback on compliance with, its terms.
EMPs means the building which contain the pumps and associated equipment of London, Aylmer, and St. Thomas. For clarity, this includes the original pumping station building constructed in about 1967 and the building addition constructed in 1996 and the associated building services, but excludes the Surge Control Building owned by London and the Storage Building jointly owned by Aylmer and St. Thomas.

More Definitions of EMPs

EMPs means the environment management plans for the Project, including any updates thereto, incorporated in the IEEs;
EMPs means Environmental Management Plans developed or to be developed for each investment site involving civil works, in accordance with the sample presented in the EMF, which includes appropriate environmental monitoring and mitigation plans and up-dated provisions regarding construction permit requirements.

EMPs mean the plans to be prepared as provided for in the ESAMF.
EMPs means the environmental management plans prepared by the Borrower, dated December 23, 2009, and satisfactory to the Bank, for the Project sites in, respectively, Zagreb, Pula, Karlovac and Split, setting forth a set of mitigation, monitoring, and institutional measures to be taken during Project implementation to eliminate adverse environmental and social impacts, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, to adequately handle potential chance finds, and including the actions needed to implement these measures.
