Unless the Employer's Agent shall otherwise instruct, the Contractor shall forthwith upon receipt of such schedule commence and diligently proceed with the making good of any defects, shrinkages and other faults therein specified at no cost to the Employer: and, if the Employer's Agent shall otherwise instruct, a reasonable deduction in respect of any such defects, shrinkages and other faults not made good shall be made from the Contract Sum.
The Employer's Agent shall thereupon issue to the Contractor a written statement identifying the part taken into possession and, notwithstanding anything expressed or implied elsewhere in this Agreement, the following provisions of clause 5 shall apply.
Thereafter the Contractor and the Employer's Agent shall take all reasonable steps to agree such details and any agreement so reached and confirmed by the Employer's Agent in writing shall be binding upon the parties to this Agreement.

The Employer's Agent shall make the agreed adjustment (if any) of each Adjusted Completion Date under clause 4.2 and the Contract Sum shall be adjusted by the agreed amount.
