Efficiency definition

Efficiency means the gas turbine manufacturer's rated heat rate at peak load in terms of heat input per unit of power output based on the lower heating value of the fuel.
Efficiency means the quotient of E/F, where E = the electricity produced by the Portfolio, measured in BTUs (British Thermal Units) at a conversion rate of 3,412 BTUs per kWh, and F = the fuel consumed by the Portfolio, measured in BTUs on a Lower Heating Value basis.
Efficiency means efficiency calculated on the basis of ‘net calorific values’ of fuels (also referred to as ‘lower calorific values’);

Examples of Efficiency in a sentence

  • As more fully set forth in the PJM Manuals, PJM calculates the above Base Capacity Resource Constraint for the PJM Region or an LDA, by first determining a reference annual loss of load expectation (“LOLE”) assuming no Base Capacity Resources, including no Base Capacity Demand Resources or Base Capacity Energy Efficiency Resources.

  • The Base Capacity Resource Constraint is the combined amount of Base Capacity Demand Resources, Base Capacity Energy Efficiency Resources and Base Capacity Resources, stated as a percentage of the unrestricted annual peak load, that produces no more than a ten percent increase in the LOLE, compared to the reference value.

  • For both the PJM Region and LDA analyses, PJM models the commitment of an amount of Base Capacity Demand Resources and Base Capacity Energy Efficiency Resources equal to the Base Capacity Demand Resource Constraint (displacing otherwise committed generation).

  • The following services are to be provided by the Design Professional if this project is subject to the Georgia Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Construction Act of 2008 (“Energy Act”).

  • Efficiency KPI targets are established on a system-wide level, and published in the Government Budget Statements.
