From 6th June 2007 the calculation of means for Disability allowance was as follows; The first €50,000 is ignored.
The Disability allowance shall be payable on a monthly basis, at the end of each month.
Double these amounts apply if the applicant is married/cohabiting:• Blind Persons Pension,• Carers Allowance,• State (non-contributory) Pension,• Pre-retirement allowance,• Deserted Wives Allowance,• One Parent Family Payment,• Widows (non-contributory) pension,• Guardian’s Payment (non-contributory),• Disability Allowance (June 2005-June 2007),• Jobseeker’s Allowance,• Farm Assist,• Domiciliary Care Allowance.From June 2005 to June 2007 the calculation of means for Disability allowance is as shown above.
II-7.3. and II-7.5. above, is situated between thirty-three point thirty-three (33.33)% and 6 sixty-six point sixty-seven (66.67)%, then the amount of the Disability allowance will be calculated as follows:((3 x n) – 1) x insured allowance, ‘n’ being the degree of Disability (%).
The monthly Disability allowance shall be subject to an annual increase of two (2)%.
